The Union has already applied to the Council for this purpose. According to the information given to APA from the Council, if the license is given, subscribers will be able to both speak and watch TV by means of telephones from March. Conclusive works are currently implemented on this project.

This novelty by BTCPU will be possible only by means of asymmetrical digital customer lines. This technology is used in almost all Automatic Switching Centers (ASC) of Baku at present. Therefore, most of subscribers of Baku will be able to use this service. Subscribers will have to equip their telephones with modems in order to watch TV. After this they will be able to simultaneously speak, watch TV and use wideband Internet service by means of their telephones. This technology will allow users to adjust video effects and increase number of channels.
