Consumer goods amounting to AZN 426.5 million were sold to population of the country in January of the current year and it exceeds the same figure of the relevant month of 2005 by 12.3%.

As APA reports, 18.2% of goods were sold by legal entities and 81.8% by individual entrepreneurs. AZN 278.1 million of the goods circulation fall to share of food products and AZN 148.4 million of non-food products and sale of both food and non-food products increased by 10.3% and 16.5% respectively in comparison with January, 2005.

Specific weight of food products in total volume of goods circulation decreased by 1% in comparison with January of the past year and formed 65.2% and specific weight of non-food products increased by 1% and was 34.8%.

Paid services totaling AZN 89.5 million or exceeding the January, 2005 analogous figure by 31.3% were provided to population during the month. More than 2/3 part (74.7%) of services was provided by juridical persons and they rendered 37.8% more services to population.
