The total amount of the credits attracted by Azerbaijan from abroad formed $ 1606,1 thousand on the used credits and credits considered to be the state debt during 9 months of the current year. According to the Ministry of Finance, the percentage of the gross domestic product (GDP) was 14,9 % and foreign debt per person formed $ 193,5 thousand during that period.

As to the structure of the credits, the amount of the credits attracted for economic reforms formed $ 406,9 thousand, and $ 174,1 thosuand of it were obtained from the International Monetary Fund for supporting 6 programmes being implemented and the balance payment of $ 232,8 thousand credit taken from the World Bank.

As to the credits attracted for the investment projects, the amount formed $ 1199,2 thousand where $ 525 thousand were spent for the energy sector, $ 109,2 thousand for agriculture and melioration, $ 210,1 thousand for transportation, $ 44,1 thousand for chemical industry, $ 28,6 thousand on oil and gas sector, $ 36,3 thousand on restoration of the territories freed from occupation, $ 125,5 thousand were spent in social sphere and $ 120,3 thousand in remaining spheres.

According to the information, the credit used during 9 months was $ 212,9 thousand, and expenses on service of the foreign debt were $ 95,5 thousand where $ 81,7 thousand were the main debt, $ 13,7 thousand interests and $ 8,6 thousand expenses from the budget.
