"The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies plans to lower tariffs for usage of fiber optical communications that were installed in the Republic within the Trans-Asia-Europe project," informed the Minister of Communication Ali Abbasov.
The Minister noted that currently no tariffs for local internet providers are present meaning that they will be able to use fiber optics for free. It will be also right to mention that one of the assignments of the Program on Development of Communications and Information Technologies in Azerbaijan for 2005-2008 signed recently by the President is an improvement of efficient usage of the fiber optical cable.
