The marketing community in Baku has been recently buzzing around the rumor that a series of awards in the respective field will be soon given out by an international jury. The time has come to know the facts and we can confirm that the nominations are officially open as of today.
The organizers, P World Azerbaijan, announced that in order to ensure maximum fairness, the contestants are being self-nominated: they have to fill in an online application form and upload documents/designs/endorsements supporting their statements. The competition will be open until the 25th of March.
Local specialists in the fields of marketing, PR, communication can compete in one or more of the following 13 categories: Best Integrated Marketing Campaign, Best Visual Identity, Best Product Launch, Best Social Media Strategy, Best Digital Strategy, Best CSR Strategy, Best Outdoor Campaign, Best TV Commercial, Best Print, Marketer Of The Year, Rising Marketing Star, PR Person Of The Year and Agency Of The Year. Additionally, the jury will choose the Grand Prix - the Brand of the Year from among all the applicants (the category cannot be entered).
The Awards Gala will take place on the 12th of April, in the Grand Ballroom at the Fairmont Hotel Flame Towers, one day after the closing of the most important marketing event of the year in the country, the Marketing Kingdom Baku 2.
The event will be the first marketing awards ceremony in Azerbaijan involving the contribution of an international jury. The judges have previous first-hand experience in prestigious international awards, as well as being senior managers, practitioners, consultants, lecturers within leading global organizations such as Microsoft, GE, BP, Henkel, Tate Museum, Phillips, University of Greenwich UK, Diaggeo.
