During his official visit to Japan, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan invited the country's entrepreneurs to invest in the Turkish economy, Sabah newspaper reported on Jan.8.

Currently Turkey's economy is developing rapidly and the main goal of the country is to enter the top 10 most economically developed countries in the world, the prime minister stressed.

"Turkey wants Japanese investors to participate in the economic development of Turkey," the prime minister said.

Erdogan also said that Turkey is interested in the construction of a new bridge over the Dardanelles jointly with Japan.

A tender for the construction of a new bridge over the Dardanelles in Turkey will be held in 2015. The new bridge will have three lanes.

This will be the second bridge to be built in the country during the last three years.
In May 2013, the erection of a third one over the Bosphorus was held in Turkey. The bridge is to be named after Yavuz Sultan Selim.

The construction of this bridge which is scheduled to be completed in 2015 will be conducted by a South Korean company. It will be put into operation in the same year.
