Azerbaijani Minister attends 3rd session of International Convention against Doping in Sport

Azerbaijan`s Youth and Sport Minister Azad Rahimov is attending the 3rd session of the Conference of the International Convention against Doping in Sport Parties at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

The agenda of the session includes adoption of the Final Report of the second session, report of the World Anti-Doping Agency on the Implementation of the World Anti-Doping Code, monitoring of the International Convention against Doping in Sport, report of the Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport and other issues.

The conference will last till November 16. The UNESCO International Convention against Doping in Sport is the first global international treaty against doping in sport. It was unanimously adopted by 191 governments at the UNESCO General Conference in October 2005 and came into force in February 2007.
