Azerbaijani women chess team make successful start to world Olympiad

Azerbaijan wome's chess team have defeated Tajikistan 3.5-0.5 in the first round of the world Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

Zeynab Mammadyarova secured a win over Marvory Nasreddinzoda, while Gulnar Mammadova and Nargiz Umudova won Lidiya Antonova and Asila Mukhtojzoda respectively. Also in this round, Turkan Mammadyarova drew with Nadejda Antonova.
