Azerbaijan's chess team defeats Armenian team

Azerbaijan men's chess team defeated Armenian team 2.5-1.5 in the first round of the world championship in Bursa, Turkey.

Azerbaijan's Shahriyar Mammadyarov gained first point winning Armen Pashikyani.

Other matches saw Vugar Hashimov draw with Levon Aronian, Teymur Rajabov with Vladimir Akopian and Rauf Mammadov with Tigran Petrosian.
