Azerbaijani female chess player claims silver at Sharjah Cup

Azerbaijani female chess player Khayala Abdulla has won a silver medal at the 7th Sharjah Cup held in the United Arab Emirates.


Another Azerbaijani player Turan Asgarova ranked 13th at the tournament.


Belgian grandmaster Anna Zozulia became the winner of the Sharjah Cup.


The tournament brought together 40 female players from 13 countries, including 5 grandmasters.


The Swiss system tournament featured 9 rounds.
