Acrobatic gymnastics championship starts in Baku [UPDATE]

The 23rd Baku Championship in Acrobatic Gymnastics, as well as the 14th Azerbaijan and Baku Championship among Age Categories in Trampoline Gymnastics and Tumbling kicked off in Baku on November 7.

The two-day competition bringing together more than 50 gymnasts will see performances of athletes from Baku Gymnastics School, “Ojag Sport” and “Neftchi” Clubs and Specialized Olympic Reserves’ Children-Youth Sports School No.13 of Nizami District. 

On the competitions’ first day, Women’s Pairs aged at 9-16 years, Men’s Pairs -- 14 years, Mixed Pairs -- 14 years and older, 9-16 years and 6-14 years, as well as Women’s Groups -- 10-18 years, 9-16 years and  6-14 years will compete for the medals.

The second day of the competitions will continue with the performances of the Trampoline and Tumbling gymnasts. More than 30 trampoline gymnasts in minors aged at 6-8 years, children -- 9-10 years, youngsters -- 11-13 years and seniors -- 17 years and older and over 20 tumbling gymnasts in youngsters aged at 9 years and younger, pre-juniors -- 10-13 years, juniors -- 14-16 years and seniors -- 17 years and older will represent Baku Gymnastics School and “Ojag Sport” Club.

The competitions can be watched on official website of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (www.agf.az) via live broadcast.
