5 Azerbaijani athletes to perform on Day 15 of Rio 2016

Five Azerbaijani athletes will perform on the 15th day of the Rio 2016.

Azerbaijan’s taekwondo fighter Radik Isaev (men’s over 80 kg), wrestlers Sharif Sharifov (men’s freestyle 86 kg) and Jamaladdin Magomedov (men’s freestyle 125 kg) will perform today, on Aug. 20.

Azerbaijan’s track-and-field athlete Hayle Ibrahimov will compete in the finals of men’s 5,000 m, and female gymnast Marina Durunda – in the finals of women’s individual all-around.

Fifty-six athletes are representing Azerbaijan at the 2016 Summer Olympics, underway in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The games, which kicked off on Aug. 5, will end on Aug. 21, and will be followed by the 15th Summer Paralympic Games on Sept. 7-18.
