Azeryol Baku will be hosting on Thursday, February 11, Italy’s Igor Gorgonzola Novara for the first stage of the 2016 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women Challenge Round. The match will start at 6pm local time and will be taking place in Azerbaijan’s capital.
Home star Yelena Parkhomenko says: “We have been working really hard and we are getting better and better. We recently played two matches in our national league which revealed some problems and we made some mistakes. However, the main thing is to be in a good shape and ready for this match, without having to cope with any injuries. If we impose our game on Novara, the match can develop in a favourable way for us and we can secure a home victory. I know this is going to be a tough game and Novara will be doing their best to win too. I think the difference will be made by the quality of the performance we can deliver in reception as well as at serving.”
