FC Qarabag`s intentionally missed penalty in top 15 highlights of Russian TV channel

A penalty intentionally missed by a player of Azerbaijan`s FC Qarabag has been included in the top 15 highlights by Russian “Football” television channel.

During a league game against Inter Baku, Qarabag were given a hotly-debated penalty by the referee. As players of Inter Baku protested, so did the player who was fouled - because he was admitting that he stumbled while jumping over the goalkeeper. The referee proceeded to give the penalty, but Qarabag purposefully put the penalty high and wide and were greeted with applause from their opponents.
