Azerbaijan and Georgia will open a new chapter in the history of European Volleyball by hosting the 2017 women's European Championship.

To prepare the program of the XXXV CEV General, the officials in charge of future European Championships on schedule for 2016 and 2017 were invited to attend a summit held at the Kempinski Hotel - The Dome in Antalya, Turkey.

Poland will host the 2017 edition of the men's tournament, it will continue a tradition that has seen this country turn itself into volleyball "Mecca", while Azerbaijan and Georgia will host the women's championship.

The championship will be the 30th edition of the tournament.

Azerbaijan and Georgia will welcome Europe's flagship event for the first time in history. The competition will be held in Baku and Guba (Azerbaijan) as well as in Georgia's capital, Tbilisi.

In 2015, the tournament will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium.
