Azerbaijan Cycling Championship held in the north regions of the country came to an end on October 7.
Held in Azerbaijan's most picturesque Quba, Qusar and Khachmaz regions, the event was co-organized by Azerbaijan Youth and Sport Ministry and Azerbaijani Cycling Sport Federation.
About 100 cyclists from Azerbaijan and 9 from Georgia took part in the event.
The four day competition was remembered with colorful moments. Despite the rainy weather none of the participants wanted to give up.
The exciting championship was held in three categories, where a number of young energetic enthusiasts left the trail of their cycles on Azerbaijani roads.
Coming to the winners in U15 category, Azerbaijani Khankishi Isgandarov achieved his goal, taking the gold medal of the championship, while Georgian Georgi Petrin won the silver medal. Another Azerbaijani cyclist Ravil Khidirov became the third.
In U17 category, Karim Shiraliyev was the first one who reached the final and won the gold medal. The member of Georgian team Georgi Petrin took the second place and Azerbaijani Mikail Safarli took the bronze medal.
In U23 category, Azerbaijani Elgun Alizada, won the gold medal. Two Azerbaijani cyclists Aykhan Iltifatli and Elvin Nagiyev jointly took the second place.
Diplomas, medals and money awards were presented to the winners.
