Scolari's Brazil page closed forever

10 July 2014 [13:18] - TODAY.AZ
Luiz Felipe Scolari will "never again" manage Brazil, said the future vice-president of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), Delfim Peixoto following the host's humiliating 7-1 defeat to Germany.

According to Peixoto, Scolari "was too stubborn throughout, from the naming of his squad all the way to his tactical formation". Everything was wrong. I don't even want to talk about it, in case I talk out of line, but I can guarantee you one thing: 'Felipao' will never coach Brazil again. He'll never be back".

"The whole thing was humiliating, an embarrassment", said Peixoto, who will take over as the CBF's vice-president from April, when Marco Polo del Nero takes on the presidency of Brazil's governing body.

"Scolari should retire. There's no place for him at any Brazilian club. Not now and not ever. He doesn't need the money. He should pack up his things and leave", he added.

Peixoto emphasised that something "has to change". "We need lots of changes going forward. I'm sure that Marco Polo del Nero is up to the task, but even if he isn't, he'll have to be, it's urgent", he concluded.
