Arsenal are pushing hard to take Alexis Sánchez to the Emirates. The London club are currently best placed to sign the Chilean, although Barcelona are aiming for somewhat more than the €40m currently on the table and could yet receive a better offer.
However, Alexis appears more up for a move to the London club. Juventus will have a tougher time signing the Chilean, as they cannot match the big-money offers tabled by English clubs.
Of the clubs interested in signing him, Alexis has chosen Arsène Wenger's side, who have offered him a better salary than any of the others.
Alexis' agent Fernando Felicevich has arrived in Europe to settle his future. In fact, it was Felicevich's Twitter feed that alerted the media. Over the past few days he has begun following Arsenal, as well as several members of the Gunners' squad like Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla, Mesut Özil and Mikel Arteta.
A deal looks to be on the cards and Alexis' destination could be revealed during the next few days. Claudio Bravo declined to comment during his unveiling at the Camp Nou whether Alexis had told him if he was staying at Barcelona or not. "We didn't talk about that, we were fully focused on the World Cup," said the keeper.
