Azerbaijan bags 10 medals at European Athletics Team Championships

Azerbaijan have put up a brilliant performance at the European Athletics Team Championships in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi as they claimed a haul of 10 medals, half of them gold and half bronze.

Golds came from Yelena Gladkova in the women`s pole vault, Hayelon Mareyego in the women`s 5,000m race, Hayle Ibrahimov in the men`s 5,000m race, Behafita Hadiyes in the women`s 3,000m race and Hayle Ibrahimov in the men`s 3,000m race.

The bronze medals were won by Yekaterina Sariyeva in the women`s triple jump, Nazim Babayev in the men`s triple jump, Hayelon Mareyego in the women`s 1,500m race, Rahim Mammadov in the men`s 110m sprint, and the men`s team in 4x100m relay.
