Synergy Baku`s rider Marcus Eibegger took the 4th position on stage 2 of the An Post Ras, in Ireland, after 159km stage from Roscommon to Lisdoonvarna.
Patrick Bevin (New Zealand National Team) recorded a solo victory on stage 2 of the An Post Ras. The 23-year-old now leads the overall classification by 1:55 minutes over Clemens Fankhauser (Tirol Cycling Team) ahead of the third stage.
The 2014 Rás is the 62nd edition of the race, and this year`s route is designed by cyclist, Stephen O`Sullivan.
The 2014 An Post Rás route covers 1260 kilometres over eight stages with 36 categorized climbs, including five category one climbs, Doonagore, Coomanaspic, Seskin Hill, Corabutt Gap and Mount Leinster.
Azerbaijan`s hopes are pinned on Connor McConvey, Daniel Klemme, Markus Eibegger, Yan Sokol and Christof Sveitser.
Earlier, Daniel Klemme finished third in the bunch sprint of the opening stage of the An Post Ras.
