Andrés Iniesta is happy with the precautionary suspension of the sanction that FIFA had imposed on his club. The player also defended Barça's style of play of the past few years and asked for Messi's new contract to be signed in order to put an end to all the talk about his continuity.
"Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but I have no doubts about Leo. I would love him to be here until he finishes his career. He won't find a better club - nor the club another player like Messi", he said.
The midfielder was happy to see that Barça could sign new players this summer to reinforce the team, "It's great news for the club that the sanction has been lifted so that we can continue improving. Regardless of whether we win anything or not this season, we have to get better every year."
Iniesta saw any reinforcements for the next season as very positive, but pointed out that "the team's style is not open to negotiation. Barça have won many things and this has been due to a certain playing style, which is the most difficult thing to do."
The player also analysed the current situation of other clubs such as Real Madrid and Atlético - the two teams Barça are fighting for the league title with. "Now the teams wear out less and players are easily substituted. We are hoping for them to slip up in the next games."
