Tevez's World Cup star is Messi

Carlos Tévez claimed that he has a "fantastic" relationship with Lionel Messi, rubbishing suggestions that a supposed rift between the two is behind his expected absence from the Argentina squad at the 2014 World Cup.

"I don't know where people got that nonsense from. Everyone goes on about that, but the fact is that Messi and I have a fantastic relationship. We've shared moments, training sessions and matches and there's never been a problem between us. He's a charming person and is very polite", the Juventus forward told Buenos Aires newspaper 'Crónica'.

Tévez added that "this should be Messi's World Cup and I hope that's the case from the bottom of my heart because he's a wonderful player. He and Cristiano [Ronaldo], whom I played with at Manchester United, are the best in the world".
