Real feels confident to keep Benzema

Real Madrid is not concerned about the future of Benzema. Despite the fact that a contract renewal is yet to be agreed, the club firmly believes there will be no problems when it comes to extending the Frenchman's deal beyond June 2016, when his contract expires.

Both the club and the player's agent, Karim Djaziri, have already begun talks about the striker's future. The club has informed the forward that the intention is to discuss a new deal this season and Djaziri made it clear that Benzema's wish is to continue with Real for years to come.

'Los Blancos' are delighted with the player's contribution this campaign. Benzema has worked hard since the first training session, although it took him a while to hit his best form. Ancelotti monitored the player every day in training and put his faith in the striker in spite of his critics. The Italian was pleased with his work and believed it was a case of believing in the French international.

With time, the coach has proven to be right. Zidane must also take some of the credit, as he helped his compatriot through a difficult time and encouraged him not to give up. However, Zizuo believes that the main culprit of the dip in form was the player himself.
