Ronaldo wears Portugal's topscorer crown

06 March 2014 [15:49] - TODAY.AZ
Cristiano Ronaldo's two strikes against Cameroon enabled him to become Portugal's all-time leading goalscorer with 49 goals.

The Real Madrid man made his senior debut back in 2003, and overtook Pauleta's total of 47 goals with his first goal in the 5-1 friendly win against Cameroon. His second goal moved him onto 49 for his country.

The Ballon d'Or winner, making his 110th appearance on Wednesday, scored 10 goals in nine games for Portugal in 2013, including a hat-trick against Sweden in the play-offs to book his nation's spot at this year's World Cup.
