Chess` international watchdog, FIDE, has announced its rankings of the world`s top players, in which Azerbaijani grand master Shahriyar Mammadyarov retained his 13th position.
He scored 2,757 points,AzerTag state news agency reported.
Another Azerbaijani grand master Teymur Rajabov saw his ranking worsen three spots as he dropped down to 37th.
Magnus Carlson of Norway tops the rankings with 2,881points.
In the team rankings, Azerbaijan placed 12th with 2,624 points, with Russia at the top with 2,744 points.
