Chess aces gather to remember Vugar Hashimov

The world`s top grandmasters will come together in the city of Azerbaijan Shamkir in April for a tournament commemorating Azerbaijan`s grandmaster Vugar Hashimov.

The tournament will see participation of Azerbaijan`s Shahriyar Mammadyarov, Teymur Rajabov, Norwegian Magnus Carlsen, Italian Fabiano Caruana, Russian Sergey Karjakin, and American Hikaru Nakamura.

The event is sponsored by Synergy Group. The total prize fund of the tournament amounts to €100,000.
