José Mourinho wants Diego Lopez to sign for Chelsea, according to 'A Bola'. The keeper played under the Portuguese coach last season and was his first choice ahead of Casillas after Madrid signed him. It seems the player from Lugo is much to Mourinho's liking.
According to the Portuguese daily, if Diego Lopez keeps his place as first keeper at Madrid he won't leave the club. But if Casillas regains his spot, López will ask for a transfer and Chelsea will be looking to sign him.
The English club is after a replacement for Cech, who will be 32 in May. In theory, the man most likely to take his place is Courtois, currently on loan from Chelsea to Atlético, but Mourinho has his eye on Diego Lopez.
