Carlo Ancelotti has made it very clear that he will not let Ángel di María leave in the January transfer window: "He's a very important player for this team and from a tactical point of view his departure isn't possible right now."
According to reports in MARCA newspaper, Di María wants to join Monaco. The French club has made him an irresistible offer, but Ancelotti says that he knows nothing about it.
"He hasn't spoken with me or the club. He looks relaxed and happy to me. If he has a problem, my office door is open. In any case, now is not the time to talk about this. That will be in the summer," he added.
Ancelotti also appeared optimistic regarding a new deal for Xabi Alonso: "The president and I think exactly the same on this matter. I'm optimistic, but we'll have to wait and see what he decides."
The Real manager did not want to compare Real Madrid's current run of form with that of Barça. The Catalan giants have lost a couple of games in recent weeks, coinciding with Leo Messi's injury. "Cristiano Ronaldo's absence has motivated the rest of the squad and maybe that's why we've performed so well," he said.
The Madrid coach confirmed that everyone he called up to the squad is fit and ready for this Tuesday's game against FC Copenhagen, including Bale and Xabi Alonso.
