Real Madrid's attacker wishlist

16 October 2013 [11:52] - TODAY.AZ
Real Madrid is considering alternatives to the signing of Jackson Martínez in order to reinforce the team's front line with a view to next season. Three other top names also feature on the club's shopping list: Robert Lewandowski, Radamel Falcao and Luis Suárez.

It was actually against Real Madrid, during the first leg of Dortmund's Champions League semi-final clash last year, that the Polish striker – who has been denying for months that he has an agreement in place with Bayern Munich – truly came of age. He scored four against 'Los Blancos', key goals in getting his side through to an appearance in the big final against Bayern at Wembley.

Radamel Falcao is another player with a fine nose for goal. During his time in Europe, his performances with FC Porto and Atlético de Madrid have been nothing short of brilliant, and he's now competing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic to top the scoring charts in France.

The third potential candidate is playing far from the glamour of Monaco, at Anfield: namely Luis Suarez. A whole load of goals, plenty of controversy and the warrior attitude so typical of Uruguay is the combination that the Liverpool striker keeps in his locker. His performances during the blistering start that Liverpool have made to the league campaign under Brendan Rodgers are once more able to do the talking, having previously been forced to watch on from the sidelines whilst he sat out a ten match ban.
