Turkey sets to apply for hosting European Football Champ 2020

Turkey intends to apply for hosting European Football Championship 2020, Hurriyet newspaper reported on Tuesday.

According to the publication, the application on holding the Championship in Istanbul will be submitted to UEFA in April 2014. The decision on holding European Football Championship will be taken in September 2014.

Earlier Turkey applied for holding 2020 Olympics and Paralympics in Istanbul. But the decision was made on holding Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.It was decided at the 125th Session of the International Olympic Committee, which took place in Buenos Aires, Argentine on September 7.
