Ancelotti's youth squad enriched with Illaramendi

13 July 2013 [11:05] - TODAY.AZ
Real Madrid has paid the fee required to release Asier Illarramendi from his contract at Real Sociedad and the young midfielder is now officially a Real Madrid player. Illarra has signed a contract for the next six seasons and will be presented to the press and fans on Saturday at 1pm.

The player did not train today with his former club and joined Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay and the Sporting Director Loren in a press conference minutes after 1pm to announce his transfer to Real Madrid.

Aperribay also revealed the figures behind the operation in which Real Madrid had to deposit €30 million at the LFP plus taxes which brought the total amount to a figure of €3,8949,900.

The player appeared excited about the move on his final day in San Sebastián and he will later travel to the capital for his presentation at the Santiago Bernabéu tomorrow.

Carlo Ancelotti gave his approval to the signing of Illarramendi some time ago and the player agreed to a six year contract from which he will earn €2.5 million a season.

Illarramendi will have to compete for a place in the side, but Ancelotti has clearly had him earmarked for a place in his midfield from the very start. Indeed, it was the Italian who made it clear that the player was worth the effort and money to sign, and now the transfer has become reality with his unveiling as a Real Madrid player only hours away.
