Gotze hails 'beneficial' Guardiola

02 July 2013 [10:13] - TODAY.AZ
Mario Götze claims that every Bayern Munich player will "benefit" from working with the Bavarian club's new Spanish manager, Josep Guardiola.

"He really motivates us and believes in a philosophy that I can identify with. He gives the impression of being very relaxed and he's friendly with the players. He'll take us a long way. We'll all benefit from having him here", the player stated in declarations made via the club's official website.

The 21-year-old German international seems to be incredibly happy with his new manager and his new team.

"The whole package was what decided it for me: club, team, coach, philosophy and prospects. I just feel this is what's right for me. I now play for the best team in the world. That's quite a challenge", the former Borussia Dortmund player said.

Considered the signing of the year in Germany, and one of the top young talents in Europe, Götze is also "convinced" that he made the right decision in changing teams. "It was what I wanted. I'm convinced that it was. I want to take the next step forwards in my career with Bayern", he said.

The forward will have to wait until the end of July before he can join his new teammates on the pitch, however, because of a muscle strain. "That's the only worry I have at the moment", he noted.
