Azerbaijani chess master competes for Tal Memorial title

Tal Memorial 2013 chess tournament has kicked off in Moscow with Azerbaijan`s Shahriyar Mammadyarov being one of the key figures in the super strong lineup announced by the Russian Chess Federation.

Mammadyarov, who claimed the title of the World Rapid Chess Championship in Russia three days ago, will take on the USA`s Hikaru Nakamura in his opener that will see him play with blacks.
The Tal Memorial is among the various elite events that gathers the strongest players in the world, after the Alekhine Memorial and the Norway Chess tournament.
