The Netherlands international is pleased with his winter move to Cimbom and is determined to become a key player at his new club, which reached the Champions League quarterfinals.
Wesley Sneijder feels Galatasaray's qualification for the quarterfinals of the Champions League at the expense of Schalke is further proof that he made the right decision to join the Istanbul giant from Inter Milan in the January transfer window.
The Turkish champion recorded a 3-2 win at the Veltins Arena on Tuesday after previously recording a 1-1 draw at home to book its ticket for the last eight, and Sneijder said he is pleased to be part of the Galatasaray side.
"The win over Schalke is more than anything else a confirmation of something I already knew: that I made the right decision to join Galatasaray," Sneijder told De Telegraaf. "The most important thing for me is that I get regular playing time again after a difficult time in Italy and that I can be important for Galatasaray."
The attacking midfielder also briefly discussed Friday's draw for the quarterfinals and stressed that he does not have any preferences as to who will be Gala's next opponent.
"I don't really care who we will be paired with on Friday," Sneijder said.
The draw is set to take place in Nyon, Switzerland, and features Galatasaray, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Malaga.
