11 February 2013 [10:56] - TODAY.AZ
Boosted by the incorporation of Ivorian star Didier Drogba this week, Galatasaray had a confident 2-0 victory on Sunday against the surprising second-ranked Medical Park Antalyaspor in the Turkish Super League at the Turk Telekom Arena, consolidating their leader position. While Drogba, who arrived in Istanbul on Feb. 8, followed the match from the tribunes, Galatasaray’s Turkish international forward Burak Y?lmaz scored both of the team’s goals, sending the message he’s ready to compete with the Ivorian striker.

Galatasaray’s other star midseason transfer, Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder, played his second game as a starter.

Medical Park Antalyaspor failed to continue their memorable performances of this year as Galatasaray dominated the match from beginning to end. Y?lmaz scored his first goal in the eighth minute of the game and then doubled the scored during the second half in the 62nd minute.

With the final score of 2-0 Galatasaray totaled 40 points, increasing the gap between them and Be?ikta?, who won 3-1 at Elaz?? on Feb. 9, to five points.
