Former Fenerbahce player joins Besiktas

01 February 2013 [10:23] - TODAY.AZ
Be?ikta? has signed Senegalese striker Mamadou Niang on a loan deal, NTV Spor quoted chairman Fikret Orman as saying.

The Turkish championship hopefuls agreed with Qatar club Al-Sadd on a six-month deal, the report added.

The 33-year-old player spent the 2010-11 season with Fenerbahçe, helping the Yellow Canaries’ run to the Turkish title with 15 goals.

Niang had his best spells at Marseille, where he spent five seasons, scoring 71 goals in 155 games.

Be?ikta? has been in the market for a striker to back up Hugo Almeida, after Turkish player Mustafa Pektemek left for the rest of the season with an injury.

Last week, Be?ikta? signed Brazilian Dentinho on a loan deal from Shakhtar Donetsk as well.
