Baku FC to join Tourism Trade Show in Madrid

Football club “Baku” is to take part in the 33rd International Tourism Trade Fair FITUR which will be traditionally held in Madrid, Spain from January 30 till February 3.

Along with tourism and business, the exhibition will also feature a stand on sports to be organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.

The participants will be given a wide information about the infrastructure of the club, children`s football, the activity of the Football Academy Baku, international relations and expanded cooperation of our team with Madrid Atletico and many others.

The so-called “Atletico hours” will be organized as part of the exhibition. In the indicator hour the Atletico footballers will visit the exhibition, give presents to the visitors of the Azerbaijani stands.

FITUR is among the biggest exhibitions in the world. Last year the exhibition was attended by 6313 journalists from 54 countries and 140,000 guests. The exhibition involved 9567 companies and state structures from 167 countries which seized the trade show FITUR as a presentation platform for their products and services.

FITUR 2013 will be preceded by UNWTO`s annual press conference at the organization’s headquarters in Madrid at which UNWTO will present the latest edition of its World Tourism Barometer, providing an overview of international tourism results for 2012 and forecasts for 2013.

The fair will be an opportunity for participant countries to present their tourism offer to potential investors and discuss business and cooperation opportunities. At the same time, the event highlights the importance of investment for economic growth, sustainable development, and job creation across the region.
