Azeri chess player defeats Armenian at world championship

Azerbaijan`s Gulnar Mammadova has defeated Armenian Elina Danielian in the seventh round of the world rapid and blitz chess championship n Batumi, Georgia.

Mammadova now ranks 25th in the table with 3.5 points. Indian Khampi Koneru tops the table, followed by Bulgaria`s Antoaneta Stefanova and Ukraine`s Katerina Lagno.
