Azerbaijani boxers win more medals at Belarusian tournament

Azerbaijani boxers successfully competed at the international tournament in memory of Soviet Union Hero Viktor Liventsov held in Minsk, Belarus. Azerbaijani boxer Elvin Mamishzadeh weighing in at 52 kg mounted the highest step on the podium by beating Kazakh Nargazi Yussupov.
Another Azerbaijani weightlifter Magomedrasul Majidov (over 91 kg) lost to Kazakh Jan Kosbutsky 6:13 and secured the silver of the tournament.

Boxer Magomed Abdulhamidov who secured London 2012 Berth at the European Olympic qualifying tournament in Trabzon, Turkey has lost to Russian Sergei Vodopyanov in the semifinal.
The tournament involved the teams from Belarus, Azerbaijan, Russia, Armenia, Australia, Moldova, Qatar, Kazakhstan and Latvia.
