Rainfall floods more than 100 houses in Azerbaijan’s Astara region, creates traffic problem

Heavy rainfall began last night flooded more than 100 dwelling houses in Tangarud village of Azerbaijan’s Astara region.

Local residents said the natural disaster kills livestock, damages food supply. The rainfall flooded the village’s kindergarten, removed the wall of a rural school.

290-300 km of Alat-Astara highway passing through Tangarud village was also flooded creating serious traffic problems. The rainfall also damages local farms and agricultural fields.
