All Azerbaijani citizens who intended to leave Libya were evacuated

Thirty two Azerbaijani citizens have been evacuated from Libya since the unrests began in this country, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Libya Agaselim Shukurov told APA.

He said all Azerbaijani citizens, who intended to leave Libya, were evacuated from the country. “The embassy is working in normal regime. The wives and children of our employees were sent home, but we continue to work here”.

The ambassador said situation in Tripoli, Libyan capital, was stable. Azerbaijani embassy together with the embassies of Turkey and CIS countries organized the evacuation of Azerbaijani citizens last week. They were evacuated by a Ukraine’s plane to Kiev and by a Turkish Airlines plane to Istanbul.
