British Embassy in Azerbaijan started the “Last 500 Days" campaign

British Embassy in Azerbaijan started the “Last 500 Days" campaign within the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the embassy told Trend. Within the campaign, it is also planned to hold events by the Azerbaijani National Olympic Committee jointly with the country’s Youth and Sports Ministry.

The embassy jointly with the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee will hold an online contest on Feb. 23-March 10. One of three participants who correctly answers 15 questions on the embassy website (www.ukinazerbaijan.fco.gov.uk) will receive two free tickets to the London Olympic Games and two tickets from the BMI to London.

The embassy (jointly with the ministry) will also organize a seaside park run on March 5 – the Day of Physical Fitness. It is expected that the event will be attended by 500 people. The embassy and British Council will hold the Olympic Festival for 8-13-year-old kids in 10 schools in Baku on March 5-14.

The winners of all three competitions will be awarded at the event at Baku Business Center.
