Baku model UN brings together students to discuss global issues

Based on successful partnership with the Baku office of the UN Department of Public Information (UN DPI), Baku Oxford School has today hosted the Model United Nations for students and school children.

The participants, pupils of 16 Baku schools, debateD the topic of the Conference, Management and Use of Internet to Eradicate Abject Poverty and Increase Living Standards, and other issues.

The Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about civics, current events, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy. In this Model UN programme more than 400,000 students participate worldwide each year.
