British Midland International and AFFA launch competition to commemorate Tofig Bahramov's birthday

British Midland International (bmi), the second biggest airline at London Heathrow, and the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) are launching a competition among football fans to commemorate the 86th birthday of legendary Azeri referee, Tofig Bahramov.

The competition will run from 3rd of February until 10th February and is open to the public. The quiz questions, devoted to Tofig Bahramov’s career, will be posted on the AFFA website (www.affaz.az) on 3rd of February at 16.00. Participants should email their answers to [email protected]. The first participant to answer the largest number of questions correctly will be awarded an economy return ticket to London with bmi. The winner will be announced shortly after the end of the competition.

Commenting on the quiz competition, Key Account Manager of British Midland International (bmi), in Azerbaijan, Leyli Alakbarova said:  “This year, on 29th of January, we celebrated the 86th birthday of Tofig Bahramov. He was a great Azeri referee and it is an honor for us to commemorate his birthday. Football is very popular in Great Britain and as a company with a strong British heritage, we are very glad to support this football initiative. We urge everyone to participate in this quiz and celebrate the birthday of Tofig Bahramov”.

The quiz is open to anyone who is 18 years old and above. Quiz questions will be posted on the AFFA website (www.affa.az) on 3rd of February at 16.00. One participant can submit only one answer to each question. Participants should email their answers to [email protected] with their names, last names, and contacts.  The quiz will end on February 10, 2011. Submissions sent later than 18.00 on February 10, 2011, will not be accepted. The first participant to answer the largest number of questions correctly will be awarded an economy return ticket to London with bmi.

All airport taxes are covered by bmi. However, bmi is not responsible for visa fees, accommodation costs, airport transfer fees, and per diem spending. Flight details, dates, and times cannot be changed once they are booked. Bookings must be made at least fourteen days in advance of the outbound travel date. The offer is subject to restricted availability and does not represent entitlement to book to travel on a specific date. No travel in July and August or peak periods.
