Police arrest murderers of the 7-time karate and alpinism champion of Azerbaijan

Two persons were arrested over premeditated murder in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku Main Police Office told APA. Samir Aghayev was taken to hospital with axe injuries at 01.50 on January 22. Samir Aghayev was a seven-time karate and alpinism champion of Azerbaijan.

He died there. As a result of the measures taken by Sabunchu and Yasamal district police offices, Baku residents Rasim Mirzayev and Nemat Jafarov were detained. The motive of the crime are yet unknown. Criminal case has been launched on the fact, investigation is underway.
