Strong earthquake in Georgia does not affect Azerbaijani oil and gas projects

The earthquake that shook Georgia yesterday had no impact on Azerbaijan's oil and gas transportation infrastructure projects, BP Azerbaijan said today. According to the company, the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan and Baku-Supsa oil pipelines, as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, are operating normally.

As the Georgian Center for Seismic Monitoring reported, the earthquake's epicenter was located 31 kilometers from Kutaisi. Its magnitude was 5.8 points. Tremors were recorded in Tbilisi.

No casualties or damage were reported.
