The court has sentenced Armenian vandals who destroyed a monument to Azerbaijani warriors in Sevastopol.

The prosecutor demanded to sentence the accused Eduard Arakelyan and Andrei Ganin, who destroyed a monument built to honor 77th Azerbaijani division which was actively involved in battles for the liberation of the Crimea and Sevastopol, to four years in jail each, according to head of the Azerbaijani Community of Crimea Rahim Humbatov.
The court sentenced Arakelyan and Ganina to three years of imprisonment each.
"This case was at the focus of attention of the Azerbaijani Community of Crimea all the time. At our request, the case was not considered by Judge Rosanna Mouradian. At our request, management of Simferopol and Sevastopol temporary detention brought the defendants to court as the case was previously delayed. We are also grateful to Judge Tatyana Bukhareva for an adequate verdict,” head of the Azerbaijani community of Crimea said.
Defendant Eduard Arakelyan apologized to the Azerbaijanis and said he was ashamed of his behavior.
