Armenian media reported today that cases of African swine fever have been revealed in Azerbaijan's occupied lands.

“Relevant disinfection measures have been taken and sick animals have been destroyed. All the meat sold is checked,” the Armenian media reports said.
Commenting on the Armenian news reports, Head of the Baku Veterinary Office Vali Garayev said neither Baku Veterinary Office nor the State Veterinary Service have received information regarding African swine fever cases in Azerbaijan’s occupied lands.
“I do not believe the information released by the Armenian media is true. The State Veterinary Service has given us no instructions to take relevant measures in Baku districts,” he added.
“The epizootic situation associated with the African swine fever in Azerbaijan’s regions is stable. Our service has received no information about infection of animals by certain diseases,” he noted.
