Baku hosts fifth conference of Islamic World Universities' Federation

The fifth conference of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW) has started in Baku on May 12.
Organized by Azerbaijan State Economic University, the event brings together rectors of the universities of different countries. Addressing the conference, Azerbaijan's Education Minister Misir Mardanov spoke of the role of science and education across the world. Mardanov noted the conference would contribute to expanding relations among universities of the Islamic countries.

Rector of Azerbaijan State Economic University, MP Shamsaddin Hacıyev spoke of President Ilham Aliyev's care for science and education in the country.

He said Azerbaijan's education successfully integrates into world education system. ISESCO Deputy Director General, Hadi Azizzadeh and other speakers spoke of the accomplishments achieved in Islamic countries' universities. The conference will end on May 14.
