Azerbaijan President attended the newly staged "Intizar" opera - PHOTOS

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev watched the premier of "Intizar" opera in new staging at the Heydar Aliyev Palace on May 11. The opera, by people's artist Firangiz Alizade, was staged as part of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation's international musical project.

The President was accompanied by his spouse Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva. The opera's libretto was written by artistic director of Uns theatre, member of the Union of Azerbaijani Writers, professor Nargiz Pashayeva.

The opera was produced by artistic director of Moscow's Helikon-Opera, people's artist of Russia Dmitry Bertman, while stage design by Hartmut Schorghofer and choreography by Edvald Smirnov. The conductor of the opera is Vladimir Ponkin and choirmaster Gulbaji Imanova.
